Converting my Dyna to FL Dresser Front Suspension

The final conversion of my Dyna Wide Glide includes dressing up the front end. This required the installation of an FL-style triple clamp, upper fork slider covers (Cowbells), and fork tins. When I started, there was no assurance that this would be possible. I asked everyone for advice and tips. Finally, the parts were ordered. Some parts took 3 months to arrive. It was finally time to bite the bullet and begin disassembly.

The conversion entered into areas in which I had never worked. Although I can wrench a bicycle in my sleep, working on the front end of a motorcycle would be brand new for me. I was prepared to pay for professional help or abandon the project if required.

Click on the pictures to see the process. The disassembly process was more interesting to me; thus more pictures and explanations.
