Suddenly, It's Roll-out Time!

Assembly wasn't exciting enough to take pictures along the way. Basically it was simply the reverse of the disassembly. Oh, there was one obstacle. The wheel bearing spacers needed shortening. Combined, the spacers were about 3/8" too wide to fit between the fork sliders. Luckily, I have a lathe; so machining them down to size was a snap. I had fabricated my spacers from stainless steel, so shortening them was easy. I used the brake disk's position in the brake caliper as a reference point for centering the wheel.

Here, I've torqued and double-checked all bolts, screws, and nuts. It's time to take the scoot on a shake-down run. The triple clamp smooth cover (behind the headlight) hasn't arrived yet from my dealer.

I calculated the "trail" to be 5-1/2 inches. According to what I've read, that's certainly within the range of stability.
