First Problem!

When I inserted the lower triple clamp with steering shaft into the steerer tube, I ran into my first problem.

The headlight bolt mounting boss in the new triple clamp interferred with the fork stop boss on the motorcycle frame. Oh boy, I have two choices. I chose to grind the fork stop boss off the frame. If I have to reverse the process, I can always weld some steel back on to restore it to like-new. Here is the boss ground away. about 3/16" of its thickness is now missing. That was enough to allow the triple clamp to pivot without interferrence.
