Grip Removal, the Easy Way
Previous | Home | NextThis was a trick I learned way back in 1969 from Gene, my boss at the Homestead Cycle in Florida. It's the easy way to remove a glued-on grip without cutting it to pieces. Simply put the nozzle of a compressed air chuck under the end of the grip and blow. The rubber grip will expand like a baloon and release from the glue and bar. While the air is ON and the grip puffed up, you can easily slide the grip off the bar.
