Clutch Cable

Previous | Home | Next

The factory stock clutch cable isn't nearly long enough to remain in the original routing through the back of the instrument panel. Instead, it must be re-routed exterior to the instrument dash. I understand that there is an inexpensive clutch cable extender that allows factory routing but I didn't buy one . . yet. It won't be that big of a deal to re-route with the cable extender later on.

Notice the very small amount of clearance between the riser clamp and the bottom of the radio? A standard one-piece top clamp would have interferred with the radio. The stock clamps have rounded tops and recessed bolts to give the needed clearance.
