Handlebar Clamp Comparison

Previous | Home | Next

This picture is of one of the ElectraGlide's risers with individual top clamp (in my hand), comparing it with the one-piece top clamp as installed on my FatGlide motorcycle. You can see the difference in the shape of the top clamp and how the bolt is recessed into the ElectraGlide's part.

Wild1's recommends using a solid one-piece top clamp with their handlebars. It was reported that such a solid clamp would not fit in an ElectraGlide because of lack of clearance to the bottom of the radio. I checked, and found that they would touch the radio on my bike, too. Notice how the top portion of the clamp in my hand is rounded and the bolt holes are recessed. This is necessary to clear the bottom of the radio when installed. I had to use these stock clamps.
